Presbyterian Women

If you have a passion for mission work, Bible Study is important to you, you are enthusiastic about assisting in the work of the church, and you enjoy fellowship, Presbyterian Women is the organization for you. Presbyterian Women meet in small groups called circles. Most circles meet once a month and there are presently three circles from which to choose. You are encouraged to visit all three; there is one just suited for you.

  • Lydia Circle meets at the church at 1:30 p.m. monthly September through May.
  • Hildegard Circle meets monthly in homes or at the church at 6 p.m. with a shared meal.
  • Youngish Women’s Group meets monthly in homes at 7:30 p.m.

Not only do Presbyterian Women at Blacksburg Presbyterian Church (BPC) work within the church, they also support community projects and endeavors nationally and globally. If you have questions or would like more information about PW, please contact the Moderator, Judy Pospichal, or the Vice Moderator, Janet Rakes. The BPC PW looks forward to working with you in ministry to serve Christ, growing in God’s Grace.

Youngish Women’s Group

Attention “youngish” women! There is a Presbyterian Women group just for you! The group meets the third Tuesday each month at 7:30 p.m. in members’ homes and tackles Bible study through reading books written by celebrated religious authors. However, the book reading is definitely not required. Projects involving children are very dear to their hearts and they are well known for the desserts they serve at their gatherings. Fellowship and common goals contribute to the appeal of this group. If you have questions or desire more information, contact Sarah Woolsey.
