Why We Give

God's work through BPC is fully supported by the tithes and offerings of the people who call this place home. We teach the biblical principal of the tithe (giving the first 10% of your income to the local church) and even encourage our members to demonstrate radical generosity by giving offerings over and above the tithe.

We believe that “growing in the grace of giving” is not the product of guilt or coercion. Rather, it flows from a heart that has truly been transformed by the gospel. By giving, you become a part of God’s mission to redeem and restore the world.

Kroger Community Awards Program
Blacksburg Presbyterian Church is pleased to be part of the Kroger Community Rewards program, which provides hope and help to local communities, schools, churches, and other nonprofit organizations. It’s an easy way to earn money for BPC based on the shopping you do every day.

Here’s how it works:

  • Visit the Kroger Community Rewards page here. If you haven’t created a digital account connected to your Kroger card, you will need to do so first.

  • Sign in to your Kroger account.

  • Search for Blacksburg Presbyterian Church or use our NPO account number: TL329. Once located, click “Save.” BPC will then display under the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account.
